Marie was born in Arlon, in Belgium.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the Catholic University of Leuven. While being a student there, she spent a semester abroad at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, where she earned a Certificate in Transnational Law.
She also holds an additional Master’s Degree in International Humanitarian Action from the Catholic University of Leuven.
Marie was hired as jurist at MBONYUMUTWA | AVOCATS in 2019 and was attending the Complementary Luxembourgish Law Classes (CCDL) that she has successfully passed in April 2020 before being admitted as Attorney-at-Law to the Luxembourg Bar on June 11th 2020.
Her areas of focus are Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
The areas of law she particularly specialises in are the law that governs the rights of foreign nationals, family law, and labour law.
Marie speaks French and English fluently.
She particularly enjoys travelling, hiking, sport, and reading.
